A flock of about 25 cedar waxwings (and one lone robin) ate every single berry off our mahonia on Thursday. It was a crazy feeding frenzy for a couple of hours. Cedar waxwings are known for getting intoxicated while eating fermented berries. The four waxwings in the photo above look kind of like angry drunks, taking a break before moving on to another berry-laden branch.
