Rabid Raccoon Attack in Bent Tree

Click here for the official press release from the North Georgia Health District.   On the morning of February 22nd, the woman had walked from her house to her car, when the raccoon came out from underneath the vehicle and started biting her leg. The woman kicked the raccoon in the head, stunning it. She was then aided by the property security guard in killing the aggressive animal.”   The attack happened on Wednesday and test results on the raccoon came back positive for rabies on Thursday.

The following appears on the community website this morning, but to my knowledge, that is the only information provided by management so far (no Bent Tree Bullets email bulletin, no push notification from the App).
